The roadway repair machine (also known as a roadway maintenance machine) is a multifunctional crawler-type surrounding rock repair equipment designed specifically for underground engineering such as coal mine shafts. Its core function is to address roadway deformation issues like roof subsidence, floor heave, and rib convergence. Integrating crushing, excavation, loading, transfer, and support assistance into one unit, it significantly replaces manual labor and enhances safety and efficiency in underground operations.
Core Structure and Configuration
Crawler Travel Chassis: Narrow body and low height, suitable for confined underground spaces; the crawler tracks exert low ground pressure, providing strong climbing ability and passability. The entire machine features an explosion-proof design to meet coal mine safety standards.
Hydraulic Working Arm + Quick-Change Attachments: The working arm can rotate ±180° and swing in multiple directions. Standard equipment includes a bucket and a hydraulic breaker, with optional milling heads, hydraulic shears, and beam handlers. This enables a full range of operations including floor lifting (bench cutting), rib widening, slot milling, rock breaking, hoisting, and support coordination.
Power and Conveying System: Mostly driven by flameproof electric motors powering a hydraulic system (common ratings include 37kW and 55kW). Equipped with a scraper conveyor or belt, it can directly load gangue into mine cars or belt conveyors. Features an automatic cable reel and spray dust suppression.
Control System: Utilizes proportional pilot control for smooth operation. Includes working condition monitoring and fault alarms. Some models support remote or semi-remote control.
Applicable Scenarios and Operation Process
Scope of Application: Coal roadways, semi-coal rock roadways, and full rock roadways. It is used for underground roadway floor lifting (bench cutting), rib widening, roof picking, digging water ditches, cleaning coal under belt conveyors, and crushing and removing debris in underground chambers and tunnels such as those caused by roof falls.
Typical Process: Survey the cross-section → Determine the repair plan → Switch attachments (use a breaker for hard rock/concrete, or a bucket for loading debris) → Transfer and remove debris → Trim the cross-section → Assist with support installation.
